Yeah, I know what you're thinking... "What kind of psychopath's going to entrust a penguin with an aquarium?!" But such a crazy... er, generous person has appeared, and I now have an Umi no Tamagochi (Tamagotchi Ocean, Oceangotchi, etc.) in my possession!
I also want a Mori no Tamagotchi, but I'm not going to make a page for it until I'm sure that I'm getting one. It's my personal policy to only have first-hand, personal observations on pages (or observations that will be first-hand within the month :P) ... anyone remember the Twin Codes fracas? (If you honestly don't, e-mail me and I'll fill you in on the details :D)

Shouta (pronounced SHOW-tah) in Japan phoned the Bandai Japan customer service hotline about
Umi no Tamagotchi and how it kept dying on him. The exchange can be summarized as follows:
The hotline rep freely admitted that the Umi/TamOceans were made so that you'd have to give
them constant attention and care, and that under normal circumstances one cannot raise them
beyond the Kuragechi stage.
"Most people will never get to see an Adult-sh," the rep is reported as saying.
When questioned as to why Bandai had not advertized these as "more challenging", and when asked
whether this might not cause people to think that TamOceans were defective, the rep was quoted
as saying: "Well, that's just the kind of game it is, and people will have to learn to deal
with it."
Anecdotal evidence from Vickie and others suggests that TamOceans are very difficult to raise. I agree...
