Takochi: It Came From the Depths of the Ocean (again)

Not much to say about this one, alas. I have yet to get Takochi on my Gen 2 Tamagotchi... although it might help if I didn't keep forgetting it in my coat pocket until the batteries ran out...

Adult-chi Type 5, Generation 2: Takochi
Takochi!

The Tamagotchi Daihyakka says:
"At first glance, this adult-chi may look like an octopus ["tako"], but he's really not! He loves takoyaki [a kind of dumpling made out of a special batter with a piece of cooked octopus in the center; a popular snack, and quite tasty!]. Although his major weakness is water [translation: he can't swim], he loves taking hot baths. He has a periscope on the top of his head."

Takochi's speech impediment causes him to replace certain sounds like "-su" with "-chu", which is an onomatoepic word for a suction sound (like the suction cups of an octopus, or like kissing). No explanation is given as to why he only has 4 or 5 legs; presumably this is meant as further proof that he not an octopus, but a Tam that happens to look like one.

Meredith writes:
I only have one tam, a generation 2 blake one. Anyways, after my first attempt, (in which I got Ponchichi) I did my famous, "what happens if you leave it in your bedside table draw until 8:00 at night?
my final result was .................................................. Takotchi. I remember finding him a little cute, and found that, when I left him alone for another day, there were definatly more poops on the screen. he left at thr age of 11.

Thanks, Meredith!

On a more personal note, I still haven't managed to get Takochi, although I did manage to get Tara-ten, which seems to be an angelic Tarakochi. He was a takoten (angelic baby takochi) as a teenager.

I'm always looking for more stuff to put up here. So if you have pics, comments, stories or tips you want to contribute, e-mail me! and please note whether you want to be credited.
