Ginjirochi: The Original Twirl Meister

Ginjirochi is probably the most popular adult tam by far. I've only found one person who disliked him; admittedly, that may not mean much (after, it's not like I've held a world-wide poll) but this gently smiling, twirly, surprisingly elusive character seems to win a spot in nearly everyone's heart.

Adult-chi Type 2, Generation 1: Ginjirochi
Ginjirochi!

My first tamagotchi was on my clear green tam was a ginjirotchi. Quite frankly, I was stunned. I had tried waiting for the tam to call, and had only fed it without being called maybe twice in it's lifetime... and yet it became the adorable ginjirotchi, beloved by my sister and many others. Other "fool-proof" ways of getting the ginjirotchi are:

Ginjirotchi, by the way, can mean one of two things: it can mean "silver-white" (gin, pronounced with a hard g, means silver and jiro or shiro means white) or (silver + old-fashioned male name-ending, -jirou). No one really knows which it is. People have variously referred to it as a penguin, a frog, and a "monster" (this from the Japanese Tamagotchi Club, which for some reason disliked its "scary, uncute" face).

The Tamagotchi Daihyakka says that "although he may look scary, he's quite soft-hearted. He's energetic and full of pep, and he's sensitive and a bit of a softie. His favourite movies are the Tora-San series (a long-running Japanese series of movies about a bumbling, blustery travelling salesman who roams Japan, looking for love and happiness... not just his own, but of those people around him as well)."

He is less needy than Maskuchi, but a little needier than Mamechi. He sleeps from 10 pm to 9 am, and his minimum weight is 30 units.

His 'reincarnated form' is the Ginjiroten or Ginjirochi Angel from the Tamagotchi Angel series

I'm always looking for more stuff to put up here. So if you have pics, comments, stories or tips you want to contribute, e-mail me! and please note whether you want to be credited.
