EEEEEVIL PostPet Hacking TricksI first saw these tips on "Neko ni Zokkon", a Japanese Geocities page. (Click on the yellow link on the bottom of her page to go to the front page).
Anyhow, these "tips" require you to hack into the binary code of PostPet, in order to "change"
the type of the pet after you installed it. YOU MAY IRREVERSIBLY DAMAGE YOUR PET.
I (and the discoverer of the hack) refuse to take responsibility for any errors that may occur
as a result of trying this trick out. Readers are advised to make a backup copy of their
PostPet, just in case...
S . P . O . I . L . E . R . S . P . A . C . E . Okay, so the first thing you do (after you set up your PostPet's name, gender, species, e-mail info, etc.) is to open the file PostPetConfig.ppc using a Binary Editor. I downloaded and used HexEdit for Win95... you can find it as shareware on ShareWare.com and other related download sites. Select Open File on the Binary Editor Menu. Open the file PostPetConfig.ppc.
In a little window or something, various little letters and stuff can be seen. Locate your own name. (You can change it, if you want.) Somewhere near by will be the identity of your pet, written in a four letter code:

To repeat: It is your OWN responsibility to decide what to do with these hacks. If you decide to try them out, it is at your OWN risk. Keep in mind that you may inadvertently give your pet an identity crisis...
