• Star Wars Giga Friends: Rancor
  Mookie the Rancor had an unspectacular day. He went down to zero discipline twice, and zero hunger once. He even ended up with two poops piled up! This, in retrospect, must have been some sort of omen...
• Clear Green Tamagotchi
  Gareth the G1 tam had a normal day... He was selfish once, and he beeped for attention once as well. It's hard keeping him at 3 hearts all the time... He ended up going to bed with two hungry hearts and one happy heart :(
  
  Another problem I'm having is... Battery trouble. One of the warning signs that your tam is running low on batteries is supposed to be that every time you press a button, the screen dims.
  
  Well, I've got the opposite problem. If I just let my tam lie there, the screen starts dimming on its own. Whenever I press a button, it darkens again!
  
  It's really quite worrying. I'd like to find out what adult Gareth will turn into, but I'm not confident that he'll survive that long...
  
  The Clear Green Tam shell, incidentally, is called Clan Liam, and all tams hatched from this egg recieve this honoured patronymic. The progenitor of this Clan was Book-kun of Clan Liam, hatched August 10th, 1997. He was succeeded by Molly Coddle of Clan Liam (Mamechi), UB Liam (maskuchi), Glinda (Secret Character), Pewsey Ogg (Secret Character) and Anaethema Device (Ginjirochi).
  
  They were all raised on the same batteries that Book-kun came with, and can be seen at their Memorial Page.
• Clear Pink Tamagotchi
  Kaylee had a heck of a time today. She was also selfish once, but several times I found her with all her hearts empty, without the attention icon lit. Presumably she had tired herself out with crying...
  
  I was hoping to get Zukichi/Zatchi again, but her repeated beepings have deprived me of such hope. I think I'll be lucky if I can get a Hashizochi...

• Tamagotchi Angel

  Today, Gabriel the Pukuten spent a lot of time in my pocket beeping, and being ignored. I was determined not to get another Futago Tenshi, and had decided not to feed or play with him until his AP went from 60 to 0.
  
  The day went by. Gabriel stayed upstairs in a little bag as I helped my Grandma make some salad, etc, for dinner. When I next checked on him, I saw...
  THE LUCKY SPARKLY PIECE OF CARP [sic] !!!
  
  I had heard that heavy duty abuse of an oyaji-tenshi or otono-ten could get you one of these babies, but... I didn't treat Gabriel that badly, did I?
  
  Nonetheless, he became a beautiful, bouncing piece of carp [sic] and my sister kindly made an animation of him.

• Tamagotchi Ocean
  Mojo 4 got sick 3 times today. Once he required two shots, then he required one shot, and finally he required 5 shots. I can only assume that I missed yet another Polar Bear attack...
  
  Oh, and I got another anonymous email asking why I hadn't done anything with my diary recently. Evidently this person had not been reading closely, and had missed my occasional remarks on how h#llish my v-pet life has been recently.

• Star Wars Giga Friends: Rancor
  Mookie the Rancor had a pretty good day, in that he never went down to 0 points on any parameter. However, he did accumulate 2 poops at least once today.

• Clear Green Tamagotchi
  Gareth the G1 tam transformed today... into a tamachi!
  
  His discipline went from 100% to 50%. The only thing that I can say for certain is that he will not turn into the secret character
  
  via the maskutchi... in the past, this has only happened when the discipline went down to 0% each time it transformed.

• Clear Pink Tamagotchi
  Kaylee also transformed. She became a tongaritchi!
  
  Her discipline also went from 100% to 50%, so she won't be likely to turn into the secret character, either.

• Tamagotchi Ocean
  Mojo 4 spent a normal day getting sick, calling for attention, calling selfishly, etc. Since I had to leave him for 45 minutes or so before and during my dinner, when I returned he was asleep, and he had only one hungry heart left... all other hearts were empty.

• Star Wars Giga Friends: Rancor
  Not much Rancor action today, except for the fact that he went below 20 on hunger and discipline twice today, and I found out that, when he's hungry, a Guard will make Mookie gain 1 ton in weight. Wow... those guards must be really big...

• Clear Green Tamagotchi
  Gareth spent a pleasant day in my purse, as I waited for (and got) my local hairdresser to cut my hair. Gareth lost all his hearts once, and I think he beeped selfishly once, but it was at a different time than when Kaylee beeped.
  Hmmm... Interesting.

• Clear Pink Tamagotchi
  Kaylee beeped for attention once, and beeped selfishly once as well. She is now at 75% discipline.

• Tamagotchi Angel

  Mojo 4 transformed into an ototochi
  
  before I could make an animation of him as a kuragechi (jellyfish).
  Oh well. He's quite cute, and I managed to not discipline him twice (err... He called selfishly twice, and I ignored him twice. Then I cared for him after his attention icon was unlit.)
  
  Oh, and I discovered how to make him swim backwards! First, let him call selfishly. Then select either the Feed icon or Game icon. As he shakes his head, press the Cancel button. If you time it right, he swims backwards off the screen!

  Not much news in these departments. Gareth the G1 Tam (currently a tamachi) has been selfish once, bringing his discipline up to 75%. Kaylee has also been selfish once. They have both run out of hearts two to three times in the past few days.

  I didn't get to take good care of the tams and Rancor, as I was busy sleeping, helping my parents pick out some new plants at the Tropical Plant shop, and helping them transplant said vegetation.

  a Taiyakichi! (And promptly fell asleep.)

  I was a little disappointed at getting the same character twice in a row. Perhaps it's because I artificially kept the discipline at about 50% after its transformation, by ignoring it until the attention icon went off...
  

• Star Wars Giga Friends: Rancor
  Today was Victoria Day, a national holiday in Canada. Presumably it originates in a celebration of Queen Victoria (a favourite Queen of ours)'s Birthday, but it has since degenerated into an excuse for a long weekend.
  
  My sister (and myself, before her) is part of an Incentive Program for Motivated (read: obnoxious, know-it-all smart@$$ kids bent on world domination) Students, and as such, she left this morning around 5 or 6 to catch a ferry to Vancouver Island.
  
  There, as I did so many years ago (sigh... nearly half a decade!), she will spend a week at Strathcona Lodge in Strathcona National Park as part of Outdoor Education Week.
  
  (Translation: She gets to rough it in the woods and ocean with her buds. I get to hog the TV and computer during daylight hours, and hopefully will get around to seeing the Agenda Trilogy from Beast Wars.)

  Sometime around 10 or so, I discovered both Gareth and Kaylee to be sick. I gave them two shots each, and they got better. I smiled to myself, satisfied in the knowledge that, for better or for worse, they would transform soon.
  
  At 11:35 am, Gareth was selfish for the second time, bringing his discipline up to 100%. Kaylee remained at 75%.
  
  They emptied out their heart meters once or twice today, before finally transforming around 7:30...
  
  I had just finished bringing Kaylee back up to 50% everything, and had started on bringing Gareth back up to 75% everything, when I glanced at her and saw...
  
  A kusachi! Her discipline had dropped to 50%, but I was still shocked. A kusachi!
  
  Since, aside from the fact that Gareth always had one more heart than Kaylee (sometimes, two hearts, as I got carried away and filled all his hungry or happy hearts by mistake), Gareth had run out of hearts and beeped for attention at the same times that Kaylee had, I expected him to turn into the G1 equivalent of a kusachi (ie, Nyorochi).
  
  Instead, a moment later, he became...
  
  A Ginjirochi!
  My guess is that I get a Ginjirochi everytime I am not able to stick to a given tamagotchi regimen (example: I try to practice autonomy, but end up feeding it ahead of time. I try to keep it at a constant 75%, but fail.) Either I am being rewarded for inconsistency, or that is the way to get a ginjirochi... Alternate between pretty darn good care (about 75% on each parameter), perfect care (100%), and oh-shoot-I-forgot-him-in-the-other-room care (0%, with attention icon still on).
  
  His discipline also went down to 50%.
  
  I think that his batteries will die very soon, but I'm glad that Gareth made it to adulthood first. Now, since I only have two extra batteries left (I used to have 3 pairs, but gave 2 to a friend's osuchi, and another 2 to the energy-guzzling OceanGotchi), I think I have to buy another pair real soon...

• Tamagotchi Ocean
  I started doing the .bmp file (to use as the basis of a gif animation) for Mojo 4, the Taiyaki-chi. Oh, and I forgot to mention this, but he got attacked by the Polar Bear yesterday, despite my tapping, and required nearly 10 shots.
  :(
  I must be more careful...

• Star Wars Giga Friends: Rancor
  Due to my carelessness, the Rancor went down to 0 on food and discipline, and below 40 on everything else. It was quite alarming; I hadn't seen the Rancor shiver like that in days!

  Gareth remains alive and well, although Kaylee has gotten severely sick at least thrice so far.

• Tamagotchi Ocean
  Sometime around today, Mojo4 died. It was tragic, and somewhat depressing... I heard the old beep-beep-beeeep sounds, and watched as Mojo4 struggled with his illness. Since I wanted to know how old he was, I pressed the C button to find out his death-age.
  Imagine my surprise, then, when the Ocean Tam suddenly played a minor 4th chord! (err... If you've seen or heard the famous music for Space Odyssey: 2001, it's the "du-NUH!" at the end of the progression.)
  How strange....
