My little herbivore sure is a busy little fellow
:)
Meanwhile, my Tamagotchi Angel NobleScarlet has had an interesting day; I forgot that I was putting her on a strict beep-for-attention diet, so I fed and played with her on two separate occasions. She went for a walk around noon-ish, and I called her back. Her jaw dropped and she looked very surprised when she returned. She transformed into a kodoten at 12:18 pm, and had to beep twice for attention afterwards, around 4 or 5 pm. I don't know if she's gone for a walk yet, but she has prayed for me once. It's a pity the kodoten aren't toilet-trained... I can hardly wait 'til tomorrow when it changes into her adult form.
When I visited Technosphere II today, I learned that a friend's monster "tmx-1" had died of starvation. I created BlueberryPhoenix and TransmetalPhoenix in our monsters' respective memories. Of my surviving monsters, Wowbagger the Ridic was in Mating Phase, "action = bonk", while BlueberryI was in "action = search". Wowbagger has 3 kids, and BlueberryI has none as of yet.
My Tamagotchi Angel NobleScarlet transformed today, around 12:00 or so... into a kuriten! ARGH! I wanted something new! Perhaps I'll try purposely making her ill next time... Or hatching her on a school day, so that I can't take care of her.
Technosphere II sent no e-mails today.
My Tamagotchi Angel NobleScarlet was taken good care of today. I filled up all her meters so that I could show her animations to a friend. However, I failed to chase away the bat on one occasion (I sang Amazing Grace at it. Nothing happened), and the Deeds meter went down to 0%. I also missed two prayers.
As well, Anaethema Device went back to her resting place sometime around 9:38 am today.
Well, not much is happening on the tam front, on account of both of my tams are currently
dead. Please visit them at my memorial page.
My Tamagotchi Angel, despite my various attempts to neglect it into Ginjirotchi-dom, has
turned yet again into the secret character, from a Kuriten
to a pair of Futago Tenshi, or twin angels. Grrr... I really dislike getting the same character
twice in a row. I think I might euthanize this pair (ie, turn out lights repeatedly until they
sicken and perish).
On the Fin-Fin front, I must admit that I've been neglecting the little fella, what with essays and exams and potential job offers and my sister's birthday. His friendliness finally got higher than 50%, but that was a few days ago so it might have dropped by now. He seems to spend a lot more time closer to the front of the screen, and a couple days ago he did this cute trick where he took a Lemo fruit from me, tossed it up in the air, and kept it floating for a while by blowing through his blow-hole. Perhaps if I spend a little more time with him, his meter will go higher...? And perhaps I'll be able to make him change colour, as well, by feeding him four or more Lemo fruits of the same colour.
Sometime around March 7th, I tried to access Fin-Fin but my computer kept hanging and just generally failing to open his program. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, to no avail. It seems Fin-Fin is lost to me forever...
My twin angels, on the other hand, have stoutly refused to leave me. Although I've tried "euthanizing them", they're still going strong...
And here's some news from that love machine, Wowbagger the Ridic!
March 11th, 1998
The procrastination bug is biting me again... I've got three research essays and a smaller essay due in the next two weeks, and I have a sudden urge to update my pages! Argh!
The good (?!) news is that I'm going to be kept company while procrastinating; my friend's
Osuchi Miles Junior is with me, and my twin angels
died this morning under mysterious circumstances. I was so happy at having Miles back
(details to be found in Osuchi Mesuchi Diary,
which should be updated today-ish) that I, er, forgot my TamAngel on my desk from, oh,
7 or 8 pm to, apparently, 6:00 am this morning. At least, that's what I assume happened.
When I checked on the Angels, they were awake and glaring at me, the way they do when they've
been called back from a walk. Then the screen sort of "closed in" on a little spark floating
up to the "heavens", and I was left with a star screen. On the busride to school, I started my
TamAngel up again. He will be named Azirophael, after an Angel in Terry Pratchett and Neil
Gaiman's novel Good Omens.
I'm trying a new raising-style with this one, one borrowed from
Vickie; she got an
Oyajitenshi by turning off the lights briefly,
and not giving the now-ill AngelTam medicine or food or games until it next transformed.
I think that I can start a new series of Tam Experiments, possibly in table form, of what
treatment results in what Angel; since Angels mature much more quickly than regular tams,
I can probably do this during school days as well.
March 12th, 1998
Well, Azirophael woke up today at 8:00 am, then transformed into a takoten at 8:30. I was rather startled at the fact that he was black. He immediately turned white and fell asleep. He woke up at 9:00, and I healed him. That's when I discovered that Takoten is naturally pale, but turns dark with rage when angry or ill. His maximum AP seems to be 60. At 9:44 he called me, which I though rather odd since his meters were almost full. I tried "praising him" and was rewarded by the Deeds meter rising. So that's why he kept calling me yesterday... I guess I shouldn't have ignored him so much!

In Technosphere news, I found out that the crazy old herbivore Wowbagger the Ridic died of
Starvation.
:(
Meanwhile, BlueberryI managed to get someone pregnant, and later had a child of its own,
BlueberryII. BlueberryPhoenix (created solely in the hopes that it might meet up and mate
with an acquaintance's Transmetal Phoenix) initiated mating with Darth Vader and had a baby.
("BlueberryPhoenixI.... I am your father....")

More Technosphere news: I got another e-mail saying that Wowbagger the Ridic had died peacefully in its sleep of old age. I assume that I misread one of the e-mails.
Also, my sister downloaded Animagic, so I'm trying to create more osuchi and mesuchi animations.
So far, I've created a shoddy animation of Keiko and her daughter Miriya (it makes it look like
Keiko is cossack-dancing at warp speed) and an animation composed of three bmps. It's really
neat: the bmps are 189kb each, and the resulting gif is 11 kb! I'm thinking of staking out a
site on fortunecity... a little Osuchi/Mesuchi/Tamagotchi movie theatre.
:)

Technosphere II News:
Wowbagger the RidicI has sadly died of old age, peacefully, in its sleep.
Also, Blueberry II and Blueberry I (possibly Blueberry Phoenix as well) died, either while
attacking another creature or trying to defend itself. I am still undecide as to whether
I will unleash another army of Technosphere II monsters on the world...
In other v-pet news, Azirophael the Smiling Angel was chugging away until the 20th or so. He was about 12, but I was getting rather tired of him... um, I mean, I thought that I should start another experiment to further our knowledge of TamAngels (yeah, that's it). I'm not entirely sure when he was reset.
Today's the 23rd, and baby Uriel's 4... which is kinda weird 'coz he was a maruten yesterday, and should have been newly hatched on Saturday. Ah well. He was reset either Saturday or Friday the 20th or 21st. I turned out the lights on Azirophael, and the screen froze. He bobbed up and down at my sister and I for a loooong time. After a while, my sister pressed the B button, and finally the screen darkened, revealed the soul flying up to the Celestial City, and then became a starscreen.
I immediately pressed A and C to restart, and then tried to create a black and white animation of the ship using Animagic.
The Obakechi2 hatched too soon, though, so I ended up pressing the reset button... something
I rarely do. Partly because I feel guilty afterwards, but mostly because it's such a bother
fixing the timer afterwards.
My sister lent me her Bad Badtz Maru mechanical pencil for the resetting... which gave us both a giggle since the mechanical pencil happened to be in the shape of a needle.
After I was safely finished the animation, Uriel was born! I immediately made him ill
*evil chuckle*
so that I could make an animation of the sick obakechi.
[MISSING]
This Animagic program sure is addictive...
March 23rd, 1998
After staying up 'til 2 am writing an essay, getting up at 6:45 to print it and dashing out of the house without breakfast at 7:05, I was rather tired, and tried to sleep on the bus to school. Since I didn't know when Uriel was going to transform, I kept him in my hand. I must have dozed off, because next thing I knew he had transformed and gone back to bed (lucky bum) and I had to dash off to class. Since I am trying a new style of parenting on my ever-lasting quest for the Ginjirochi Angel, I gave him medicine and filled up his hearts during class. My prof seemed less than pleased, but I was well-rewarded; I got to see Uriel pray for me, and later in the afternoon he went for a walk!
When praying, his eyes twinkled at me, and he looked like a drugged jellyfish blowing kisses at me (um, I don't have an animation. And that's the best I can do at describing it). Very startling, but rather cute! (Well, anything seems cute after the interminable boredom of the Smiling Angel.) When pooping, his face turned black again, but he didn't get mad.
And later, just as I was pondering writing something about what a homebody he was, he went for a walk! I sorta had my hands full at the time, so I selected the praise icon and knocked the TamAngel against my teeth (see, I told you my hands were full). I then saw... Uriel peeking out of a large pot?! Well, it looked more like a vase than the traditional octopus-catching pots of Japan, but he looked very cute!
March 24th, 1998
Around 10:00 am, while checking my e-mail, I heard a shimmering noise. Uriel was transforming into a... Pukuten!!!
I was a little startled by how big his face was, but now that I look at him, I gotta admit... he kinda looks like me. Same chubby, round face... same blank expression... It's uncanny!
He later went for a walk, and when called back, was discovered standing on a pair of scales. Silly Uriel... you should learn to love your body as it is! (says the slightly overweight undertall entity known as Aurora)
When I got home from school, he prayed for me. It looked like he was blowing one of those noise-maker thingies you get at parties (they're made of rolled up paper that you extend by blowing into it), but according to the Bandai page it's actually a "flute" that he bought in Asakusa, Japan!
March 25th, 1998
Nooooooo!!! Just as I was about to write this, I heard that shimmery transformation sound and... and... Uriel turned into the Twin Angels again!!!
*hyperventilating slightly* I'm sorry but I don't like the twin angels I already got them twice before HolyBell and Noble Scarlett must be haunting me I swear Just because I sorta sent them back to the Celestial City early Oh Ghod
*deep breath*
That is to say, I was hoping that I could enjoy Uriel's company as a Pukuten for a while longer,
especially since I am assured by MadCow that the Pukuten reads a book or newspaper while
potty-ing. Everytime that Uriel the Pukuten went potty, he didn't seem to do much at all,
and I was curious as to what I was "doing wrong".
Now I suppose I'll never find out...
March 26th, 1998
I didn't take very good care of my angels today, so they beeped for attention a couple of times, and I missed two of their prayings. I forgot about turning their lights out, too, which is how NobleScarlett was sent home.
I considered making Animagic animations of them, but didn't have the energy to do so.
March 27th, 1998
My angels were fine despite my ignoring them. I really wished Uriel had stayed a Pukuten, because he had such an interesting way of praying for me.
After school, a friend and I stopped by the mall. More precisely, I dragged him into
Electronics Boutique. He looked appreciatively at all the Star Wars related CD-Roms, as I
ogled the vps (same ones as I saw before... Digimons, the ones that come with stuffed animals,
DNA Fish, Rikou-Rikou Ryu-chan, Koinu, etc... if anyone is interested in purchasing one,
please e-mail me).
And I found the Tamagotchi CD-Rom; it was about $30.00. I'm still debating whether or not to
purchase it... it sounds a lot easier than Fin-Fin, but purchasing another Desktop Pet would
seem so... disloyal...
March 29th, 1998
I tried turning out the lights on my TamAngel yesterday, but nothing happened... Uriel just got sick and looked rather peeved.
But this morning, when I tried turning the lights out, something totally new happened! The
transformation "arrow" scrolled apart, as has happened in the past. However, instead of showing
the peeved Angels, followed by their "spark" flying up to the Celestial City and the starfield,
the screen showed this:
[animation to come, just as soon as I can remember what it looked like :P]
The screen kept flashing and alternating between the Twin Angels and a black, shiny egg
(similar to the Japanese Shinshu-Hakken/Generation 2 tam eggs), all accompanied by a horribly
loud mad beeping. I tentatively pressed the B button, and the TamAngel fell silent.
Then the words "Bye Bye!" appeared on the screen.
I was quite excited about this, until TamaGarden told me that this was the animation for a TamAngel that was brought over to the Other Side by the Skulls and Bats. Apparently the "egg" was a tunnel leading to that Dark Place... rather ironic, considering that this tam was named after the Sun Angel, Uriel! I wonder why my previous angels, who also got the Kevorkian treatment, didn't get sucked down into the Dark Place... Maybe the Tamagotchi God was able to get to them first?!
That said, I'd still prefer to believe that that was Uriel being reborn, somewhere, as a Japanese Gen2 egg. After all, he was polite enough to say good-bye... not like those other moochers who flew off without so much as a "see-ya"!
Oh, speaking of Japanese Tama stuff, I visited a local Chinese Mall, and discovered:
These are, of course, 2 to 3 times more expensive than the original Japanese price, but still... they're so cute!! Maybe I'll buy some for my keypals.
PS: At around 3:15 pm, I pressed A and C and reset my TamAngel. This time, I'm going to try keeping it sick while an Obakechi2, then taking near-perfect care for the rest of its life. I hope I get a Ginjirotenshi this time... oops. After it turned into a Maruten, the bat got the candy, in spite of my fervent tapping!
March 30th, 1998
Ashtaroth (I ran out of female angel names, and didn't want to resort to Touched By an Angel names) was a good girl today. She prayed for me at least three times, but the last time around she was in my pocket and I didn't notice. The only indicator was the sparkly poop at her feet... Oh, and I got to see the praying animation in full. She smiled at me, then opened her mouth like she was shouting, then smiled again.
She was awake at 8:00 am, and went to bed at 8:00 pm. At 4:25 pm, she transformed into a Kodoten (hey! Long time no see!), and went down to 25% on the Deeds meter. She hasn't prayed for me since... perhaps she's just gotten a telepathic message from the Celestial City about my previous treatment of TamAngels, and she's decided that I'm beyond salvation!
March 31st, 1998
Darn it! I failed, once again, to get the Ginjiroten. Sometime around 4:30 today, Ashtaroth turned into a Kuriten. Since I read somewhere that neglect may keep TamAngels from becoming the secret character, I am going to try leaving her at home tomorrow. Besides, I don't want her beeping and causing a ruckus in my English Class, especially since author Dennis E. Bolen is coming to visit!
Incidentally, Ashtaroth only prayed for me once during her Kodoten years. I wonder why?
