After a great deal of procrastination, I finally started my latest Tamagotchi experiment... and in the week when I have to do two French Essays, too! :D
This experiment is a fairly simple one; I raise two tamagotchi at the same time. One is essentially pampered and is never allowed to beep for reasons of hunger, etc. This one (white gen 1) I named Air Razor, after one of the only females on the animated show Beast Wars. I fully expect her to become a mamechi.
The other is only ever cared for when she beeps. This one (clear green gen1) I named Anaethema Device, after a character in a Terry Pratchett novel.
Now, this is the exact same way that I raised my first tam in this egg... well, I cared for it before it beeped about twice, but that was about it. It turned into a Gingirotchi. My Gen2, however, became a Hashizotchi when raised in this manner. It will be interesting to see how this one turns out.
I ran into several problems at the outset, though... Although I tried to hatch them synchronously, I messed up, and Anaethema was about a minute behind Air Razor. When I tried to correct this, I (without even noticing) put Anaethema about 12 hours ahead of Air Razor... I only discovered my mistake when Anaethema fell asleep right after transforming!
Here are the statistics for my Virtual Pets, on the first day of Experimentation...

So far, the main difference seems to be that a tam that's pampered will have more selfish calls, whereas a neglected tam seems "afraid" to be selfish.
