My Osuchi and Mesuchi Diary

A Haruchi

A Haruchi

Something odd happened today...
Usually, when a tam changes form, it gets sick... In the case of regular tams, its illness comes 7 to 9 hours before the transformation, and in the case of Osuchi and Mesuchi, it seems to be about 5 minutes before.

In my case, I've repeatedly missed the illness and the transformation, so that I usually find a transformed mesuchi with a sick skull. But today, when I awoke at 9:30 or so, I discovered an apparently healthy haruchi! (maruchi equivalent: animation to come).

I wonder why... Perhaps all that blubber insulated her? After all, Jean was a full 41 grams, all of which she kept upon transformation. Her discipline went from 75% to 25%, though. Looking back at the last time I got haruchi, I note the previous haruchi went from 75% discipline as a Petit Telechi, to 50%. Hmmmm....

I spent most of the day reading Men At Arms, the very, very funny (I refuse to call it hilarious since, in my experience, any book or movie that calls itself "hilarious" will prove itself to be exceedingly stupid) novel by Terry Pratchett. For the past while, I've been naming most of my Technosphere etc. creatures "Wuffles" after the "small wire-haired terrier" owned by Lord Havelock Vetinari, Patrician of Ankh-Morpork. From now on, though, I think I'm going to have to start naming them Gaspode the Wonder Dog...

The Thinking-Brain Dog rocks the Disc!!!

*ahem*
Now back to the Diary. Jean ended the day at a comfortable 67 grams, and her Discipline went back up to 75%. It will be interesting to see what, if anything, develops.
