Transmutate and Jean have been having a tough time of it... They keep bottoming out of hearts! Perhaps I need to spend less time on-line... it's been affecting my ability to go to class, as well.
Jean has been repeatedly sick... today along she must have gotten ill at least thrice. Of course, the real shocker today was that Transmutate got sick, too! It was scary, seeing that big ol' skull hanging over Jean... especially since the adult mesuchi's illness skull is nearly as big as the babychi itself!
I got caught up in a book, The Innkeeper's Song by Peter S. Beagle (author of The Last Unicorn... an enchanting, haunting novel!), and had to finish it, partially because it was strongly hinted (but alas, never confirmed) that the Greatest Wizard in the World that is central to The Innkeeper's Song might have been Schmendrick the Magician from The Last Unicorn (Unlikely, I know, but there was reference to the Great Wizard studying under Nikos, whose fame was only surpassed by Schmendrick... of a long, long life... of a woman companion with whom he travelled for many years). Also the book hadn't been carded or shelved yet, so I couldn't officially take it out of the SFS Library. I ended up missing a review session for English, but finished the novel in time for a Workshop, so overall I think things worked out pretty well.
Pretty well for me, that is. Transmutate and Jean went down to 1 heart during my workshop, and Mulciber went down to zero overall before I discovered him in egg, crying and waving at me as he prepared to go back home to the Celestial City.
The Mesuchis ended up going to bed with a poop covering Jean and her futon! It's a big one, too!
*sigh*
I hope Transmutate cleans that up on her way out... I think she'll be leaving tonight.
