*Story* One day, after drinking sake that he recieved from Oyajitchi, the Tamagotchi Planet started singing in a loud voice. "We can't have this" said the Tamagotchi and the fled from Tamagotchi Planet. However, because of a breakdown in their UFO, they crashed on the Earth. There, in the river where they fell, is where Professor Hakase Banzo found them. Together with his assistant, Mikachu, they wondered if there was some way for the Tamagotchi to live happily on Earth. "That's it! We'll build homes for the Tamagotchi!" So, when the houses for the Tamagotchi had been built, the Tamagotchi went to live with people all over the world and were loved and lived in happiness. Hakase's devotion to Tamagotchi lead him to build this Tamagotchi House, "Yasashii Tamagotchi" which is easier to raise. Please give it lots of love and care.

Explanation of the unit


When you aren't using any of the buttons, you can use the stand on the back of the unit to let the Tamagotchi sit upright. You can control the volume level using the switch on the side of the unit

Before raising a tamagotchi

To begin raising a tama, you must first reset the unit and set the clock
With a "Piiii" sound, an egg will appear on the screen.

Press the Select button and the time set screen will appear. Use the select button to enter the hour and the cancel button to enter the minutes. Then press the check meter button to set the time. Press either the select button or the cancel button to return to the Tamagotchi screen.

How to Care for your Tamagotchi

About 5 minutes after you set the time, a tamagotchi will be born!! We can finally start caring for it.
  • If you don't set the clock, the tamagotchi won't be born

  • Until the tamagotchi is born, you cannot use any functions except clock and reset.
With this tamagotchi, you can now tell what your tamagotchi is feeling by the buttons that light up.
Try pressing the lit Feeding Button. See! Food has been dispensed.
You can tell what care needs to be given without looking at the check meter!
Yes, you can now really answer to your tamagotchi's needs. Give it lots of care to raise a good kid!!

Explanation of the Care buttons

Feeding
If your tamagotchi is hungry, the food mark button will light up. Press the button to feed your tamagotchi.

There are different types of food for different types of tamagotchi. I wonder what everyone eats...


Happiness
When your tamagotchi wants to play or wants a snack, the happiness mark button will light up. Choose either Game or Snack using the select button, then press the happiness button to enter!!

Snacks are different for each kind of tamagotchi as well!

[playing the game]
A snack will appear from some boxes. From the remaining 3 boxes, you have to guess which one holds the same kind of snack. Use the buttons nearest to each of the 3 buttons (care, toilet, checkmeter) to select a box.
If you open the correct box at least 3 out of 5 times, your tamagotchi's happiness will increase. Until you press the cancel button, the game will continue. If you give a snack, happiness will also increase.

Care

[selfishness]
If your tamagotchi is saying "no, no" to everything, no matter what you try, it is a sign that it is being selfish. When the care mark button lights up, press it to discipline your tamagotchi. In order to raise a good tamagotchi, you must discipline when you get the selfish sign.

[sickness]
If a skull mark appears, it means your tamagotchi is sick. Press the care mark button to heal it!! (some tamagotchi will let you know they're sick by lighting up the care mark button)

Toilet
When your tamagotchi goes bathroom, use the toilet mark button to flush it away!! There are some tamagotchi who will alert you by lighting up the toilet mark button.

Lights
When your tamagotchi goes to sleep, the light mark button will light up. Press it to turn the lights off (press it one more time to turn the lights back on).
While your tamagotchi is sleeping, you can only use the lights, checkmeter and clock functions

Checkmeter
When you press the checkmark button, you can see the current conditions of your tamagtochi's Age/Weight, Hunger, Happiness and Discipline. Press the cancel button to return to the Tamagotchi screen.

Sad, but Bye Bye

Throughout the year, tamagotchi have events like sports competitions, swimming competitions, Christmas, and because of this, the tamagotchi have to get into their Hyrurun UFO and go back to Tamagotchi Planet. It's sad, but it can't be helped.
When your tamagotchi leaves in the Hyururun UFO and has left a message for you, press the check meter button to see your tamagotchi's stats at the time it left. (press the checkmeter button once more to return to the message screen).
To raise a new tamagotchi?
While at either the message screen or the stats screen, press the select button and the cancel buttom simultaneously and a new egg will appear!

Tamagotchi Album

When raising a tamagotchi, you can still see the tamagotchi you raised previously! First, press the Select button - the clock screen will appear. Press the select button once more to see the Tamagotchi that you raised before this one!
To return to the main Tamagotchi screen, press either the select button or the cancel button.
  • If the batteries run out or you press the reset button, you will lose the information about your previous tamagotchi.
When the 'denchi' screen appears, your batteries are low and you must replace them.
