Mimichi: The G2 Clever Little Cutie

Mimichi, like his G1 predecessor Mamechi, is often called one of the "best" characters. This is probably due to the relative good health and long life of the Mimichi. Mimichis generally take longer to age and become needy, and they are relatively low maintenance as adults. Unfortunately, I have never gotten a Mimichi before, due to my leaving the Tam in my coat pocket all the time.

Mimichi

Having never gotten this character, I can only say that people seem to think that he's very cute. One anonymous person in an unofficial tam book suggested, for some reason, that with a spear in his hand he would make quite a nice demon (?!?!). He is often known as "usa-mimichi" ("bunny ears") among the non-authorized tam-book crowd.

In the Tamagotchi Daihyakka, he is said to have "an IQ of 200. He likes doing calculations and equations, and is studying for (can't read the characters but I think it's like an MBA). The dark part of his head is supposedly a hat...".

In the official Tam comic, he has a bit of a speech impediment: he adds the word "pyong" to the end of every sentence. "Pyong" isn't quite translatable; technically speaking it's a sound effect, kinda like "boing". For whatever reason, Mimichi says this "boing!" sound effect out loud. A lot of the tamagotchi seem to have similar speech impediments; kuchipatchi, for example, adds "-chi" to every sentence (eg. "How are you-chi? I'm feeling kinda sick-chi.")

Mimichi seems a little sensitive about his weight. When Zukichi offered to share his superhero- training exercises with Tonkichi and the mimichi, the mimi's first comment was "Farewell, old pot-belly!". (Well, he literally said "Double-deckered stomach", but you know what I mean.) When Mimichi gets angry, he bares his little fangs and snarls at people; quite scary, really.

He seems to be best friends with Tonkichi, although he's also very fond of Mika-chu. In an episode where he had the chance to return to Planet Tamagotchi, he complained that "If I leave Earth, I won't be able to eat Mika-chu's carrot-spaghetti anymore!"

Here's what Budjaws had to say about the Mimichi:

I think Mimichis are very cute! I have gotten one for my gen2 tamagotchi.
He is currently 37 years old. {honest} I hardly had to take care of him when he was 7 through 26, but ever since he turned 27 I had to check him once every 7 minutes and his hearts would be near empty. {eek} It is very stressfull.

I have also gotten a mimichi for my gameboy tamagotchi game. He is even cuter then the one for my origanal tamagotchi! He jumps around the screen all day! He loves to eat carrots!

When my Mimichi for gameboy goes to the bathroom, if you push the flush button before he does his buisness, he goes to the bathroom on a little duck toilet....

...
Mimichi is my favorite tamagotchi in the whole world!
