Here's some current stats about Furby Auctions:
Currently there are 1876 ebay auctions going on, 1952 on Yahoo!, and 163 on
amazon.com. Also, as a new edition to the stats list, Auctionrover.com has 1414 auctions going on.

-1999 Sales for TRU
Mr. Goldstein said that international comparable toy store sales, on a local
currency basis, were flat for this holiday season compared to the same
period last year. ``Our stores in Australia, France and the United Kingdom
all reported comparable store sales increases, with France's comparable
sales being up double digits, while comparable store sales in Germany,
Spain, Canada and Japan declined. Strong performances from Furby, Pokemon
and Star Wars products in most
international markets were offset by a weak video game business this season.
On a year-to-date basis, local currency international comparable toy store
sales increased 1%.

-Furby Babies and Pokemon were the big Holiday winners.
This year, the annual battle for the star spot under British Christmas trees
pits Furby Babies - babbling offspring of the hirsute little figure that so
many children adored last year - against Pikachu and his pals, Jigglypuffs,
Blastoise, Bulbasaur, Eevee, Charizards
and many (so many) more.
Pokemons top the popularity list compiled by the British Association of Toy
Retailers, based on sales to the end of November, with Furby Babies at No. 2.
But the junior Furbies headed a popularity table put together in October by
an international market research company, NPD Inc., based in Port
Washington, N.Y. Pokemon merchandise was in fourth and fifth place - and
climbing.

[I live in WA State and I went Furby shopping the week after Christmas and
I'll tell you, the shelves where empty. I didn't find a Furby any place and
I tried several places! It's a nice feeling to know he did so well, even if
I didn't find any! -Kat :)]

They are coming soon! I've been told they are being found in limited
quanities. They are soon to make a big appearance on the market though, so
keep an eye out for them. When we get some pictures and more information,
we'll be sure to post it in a upcoming newsletter. Also watch Electronic

-Furby in Y2K?
With Y2K being the top story in the news, there has been much humor
sorrounding the issue. The LA Times recently released an article titled
"2000 FAQs To Know" and Furby is mentioned! The following is from LATimes.com:
Is my Furby Y2K-compliant?
Tiger Electronics, Furby's manufacturer, cautions that some Furbies may
turn feral at 12:01 a.m. Saturday and begin gorging on household pets and
small children. Tiger stresses that there is no cause for alarm, but the
company strongly recommends letting your Furby sleep through the New Year,
preferably in a locked metal box buried at least 16 feet underground.
The rest if the article is humorous as well, thats the part that has to deal
with Furby though! We'd like you to know that Furby is Y2K compliant - as

Furbish Word of the Issue:
"Boo/a-loh/boo/doo-ay" means "no light, no fun" in English. Furby and Furby
Babies will say this when they are put in a dark room, when there are
dramatic changes in light in the room, or you cover their eyes.

Both of us love Furby and have many of them. But did you know we enjoy many
