Chocolate Chip
Cookies


1 1/2 cup butter
1 1/2 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
4 eggs
2 1/2 tsp vanilla
1 tsp lemon juice
3 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 cup old-fashioned oatmeal
3/4tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
3 cups Ghirardelli chocolate chips
1 1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Preheat oven to 375°. Line baking sheets with parchment paper. Place butter in a large bowl and cream lightly with a mixer. Add sugars and beat on medium speed for 2 min. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each. Add vanilla and lemon.
Sepately, mix flour, oatmeal, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon. Add this to the creamed butter mixture and blend well. Add nuts and choc chips. Use a 1/4 cup measuring cup or a 2 oz. ice cream scoop to make cookies. Drop onto parchment lined sheets about 2 or 3 inches apart.
Bake 13-15 minutes or untill brown around the edges. Cool on wire racks.
