Victorian Lemon Ice

Juice of 4 lemons, 1 orange
1 1/2 cup sugar
4 cups water

Heat water and sugar to boiling. Add lemon and orange juice and continue to boil for 10 full minutes. Freeze in a lidded container. When cmpletely frozen, scrape with a large spoon and serve in glass dessert dishes.
