In early august most of the Vista testers who signed up to get their beta kits thankfully got them here were the contents:

We are pleased to provide you with the enclosed copy of Microsoft® Windows Vista™
Beta 1, Windows Server® code name "Longhorn" as well as the Windows Platform
Software Development Kit and Windows Driver Development Kit.

We ask that you install the software at your earliest convenience. Please be sure to
visit http://connect.microsoft.com, our pre-release feedback portal, to get your
product key before you install.

Along with product keys, you will find information such as access details for secured
private discussion groups, late breaking release notes and frequently asked questions
about the product and the beta program. Additionally, the following will be available:

We welcome your feedback in all its forms! Your feedback is important to us and we
will use it to revise and enhance the product before we release. Please let us know about
any issues you encounter immediately by filing a bug or visitung us in our discussion
groups as documented on http://connect.microsoft.com
