Here are the two uuencoded files. At the moment I do not have enought time to draw up a schematic of the cart. I suspect that the extra chip in the cart was used as a chip select (74LS00). One eprom is a 8K, the other is the 4K... darkt32.hex, darkt64.hex I don't know what order they should be in, so until I figure out the order, someone else can play around with them. Also if this is not the best format for them, feel free to tell me how to convert them. Move towards the entrance of the door. Now select the order of the keys, each key must be used once. Button 4 will test the solution. If you are correct the game will end. If you are incorrect, the correctly placed keys will stay lit for a few seconds and you will be placed randomly in the forest, if you have a scout, you will be placed outside the castle. I have typed up how you go about buring the game and playing it from one EPROM.... ----------------------- For those of you with EPROM programmers that would like to know how to get the Dark Tower that was posted here yesterday to work, here's what you do: Combine the two binary chip images into one file with the "64" file first Remove the chip from an 8k game (I used Blitz) Cut the traces going to edge connectors #10 & #16 Run the following wires: Pin #26 on EPROM -> Edge Connector #31 Pin #23 on EPROM -> Edge Connector #10 Pin #20 on EPROM -> Edge Connector #16 Plug it in and you're ready to play. It uses a 27128 EPROM by the way. There are a couple of cuts and jumpers to do too. I did'nt mention it in the group because the cart has already been likened to the Millenium Falcons hyper drive :> I dont have a 'real' image to send you now, I patched mine so the menu entry is incorrect. I'll get the list of cuts and jumpers and full ROM image to you over Xmas. Happy Holidays. -- Mark C.R Woodward woodward@newbridge.com Relax, Dont worry... Load up Linux Real computers dont run MS-DOS
